Sony has released a mandatory update for the PlayStation 3, this firmware update is marked as 4.81 OFW and does nothing but seems to waste the world bandwidth for what amounts to another "system stability" update. So not ground breaking features coming to the PS3, at least from Sony. but as we have come to know the Homebrew & user development community has continued to always bring new functionality to the console, and as time passes that seems to be the trend . So this means new Custom Firmware and various other tools to be coming around the corner. To keep up with the latest updates for all homebrew releases in one organized place, then checkout this thread @ psx-place.com that i maintain

Well excluding the PS Vita and its younger brother the PSTV. but that changes with a Homebrew released by Flappy Jesus called Vita Calculator. A very functional utility that was missing for the Vita.
